Leaky Home Repair – Port Hills

The owner of this Christchurch home approached the Port Hills team to undertake recladding for a ‘leaky home’. The original home was in quite good condition but when the polystyrene was removed the bulk of seriously decayed timbers were in the property’s extension that had later been added to the building. These timbers were replaced and treated and a new recladding system installed fitted over a new rigid air barrier with structural cavity battens as the home is zoned in a high wind area. The property is now restored and resealed for future generations to enjoy.
