Bathroom Overhaul & New Ensuite Constructed
The owner of this Ardmore home came to our team wanting to fully renovate the existing main bathroom and create an ensuite for the master bedroom.
The main bathroom was dated and in need of modernising. We fully renovated the room including rebuilding the hallway wall to house the new cavity slider door. Two windows were removed, the wall closed in, and the exterior cladded with Hardie weatherboard to match existing. By closing up the window openings, we were able to utilise more of the room that was once unusable space. The acrylic shower was replaced with a much larger full height tiled shower with frameless glass. All new bathroom fixtures chosen by the client were fitted including a new back-to-wall bath. The lower half of the walls were tiled, and a tiled niche was made above the bath for storage and to keep items nicely organised. The outcome is a more functional, contemporary, and inviting main bathroom.
The master bedroom was reconfigured to make room for the new ensuite and create a new walk-in-robe, ready for the homeowner to fit-out. To be able to construct these new spaces, the removal of an old fireplace was required. In the process the entire master bedroom was insulated and relined. The new ensuite like the main bathroom also includes a large full height tiled shower and modern black fixtures. The mirror cabinet was recessed within the wall for a sleek contemporary look while also adding storage to the room. The owners are thoroughly enjoying having another bathroom in their home and are very happy with the end result.
