Modern Bathroom Revival

The homeowners of this Papakura property approached our team at Smith & Sons Franklin with the goal of updating and modernising their sole bathroom. Since it was their only bathroom, we recommended our deluxe mobile bathroom during the planning stage to ensure they had minimal disruption throughout the renovation - and they were happy with that solution.

We carried out a full renovation of both the bathroom and separate toilet, stripping the spaces back to the framing and relining all the walls. The bathroom was completely tiled from floor to ceiling, with the clients choosing a darker grey tile for the floor and a soft white marble tile for the walls -both sourced from Tile Warehouse.

All fixtures were upgraded with selections from Mico Plumbing. Key features include stylish gunmetal tapware and a matching heated towel rail, a back-lit mirror, and a wall-hung vanity in a rich dark timber finish. The original acrylic shower was replaced with a fully tiled shower, as requested by the clients during planning. This change required a building consent from the Council (for the waterproofing membrane and changes to a brace wall), but it was well worth the effort - it’s made a significant impact on the overall look and feel of the space.

The clients are thrilled with their newly transformed bathroom.
