Villa Bathroom Restored
This project involved a total renovation of this bathroom in the Tuakau area. The owners wanted to restore the space to its former glory. The desired result was a classic villa style bathroom. To start, all existing bathroom fixtures were removed, wall linings stripped, and a new timber cradle was built to support the bath. The walls were relined and hardie groove linings installed vertically to the lower half of the walls. The decorative wall panels align with the traditional design the clients were wanting. The timber floorboards were given a new lease of life by being sanded back and a fresh coat of polyurethane. All new Burlington range bathroom fixtures were installed including a traditional toilet fitted with a high level cistern and flush chain for an ultra-retro look. The newly built-in baths cubical walls were tiled with bevelled subway tiles – a modern take on a classic. Plus a custom hinged glass door with small fixed panel was installed for the shower.
This project also included a makeover of the hallway. Hardie groove linings were vertically installed along the lower half of the walls, trims reinstated and a fresh coat of paint throughout.
The homeowners are very happy with the outcome and look forward to renovating their second bathroom in the future.
